All PlayStation 4 owners were able to jump into Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War this past weekend for the game’s first Alpha weekend. Players were exposed to three classic game modes as well as the new Combined Arms: Domination playlist. With numerous maps and new customizable guns, there was plenty of content to go around; and streamers took full advantage. The Alpha was extremely popular across streaming sites as the game generated over 3 million hours watched with a peak viewership of 365K. Clearly, Call of Duty’s audience was very interested in the new title and the viewership looks promising for the upcoming full release.
– The top 3 channels that streamed the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Alpha, (DrDisrespect, Dashy, & ELoTRiX) each generated 511.5K hours watched.
– DrDisRespect had the highest peak with over 66K concurrent viewers.
– At the Alpha’s peak, almost 8K channels across Twitch, YouTube Gaming, and Facebook Gaming were streaming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
